art is seeing beauty everywhere & in every soul

My Philosophy

Natural Lighting & Rich Colors

In a world saturated with technology, photos of our most precious moments should not be tailored to a faceless audience. I rely on a foundation of color theory from years of artwork to design a preset for each wedding, based on its location, color scheme, & natural lighting. No photo gallery looks alike. No set filter for every photo. My goal is for each image to be a piece of art.

Documentary & Fine Art Photography

A bit about me.

I was born in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida & grew up trying to balance wanting to be Cody from "Surfs Up" but also Hermione from Harry Potter... A good blend of laid back beach vibes and ambitious nerd if you will. I come from a family of ten & am a middle child, so I enjoy people but am not used to the spotlight! My family is big on outdoor activities and games, & my friends will tell you I'm the first to whip out a deck of cards at a bar.

In 2018, I picked up photography as an avenue for studying architecture, but not long after, someone asked me to photograph their wedding... & I immediately fell in love. I've been in business going on 8 years now, & I don't think I'll ever stop!

Right now, I live in Charleston, SC where I am finishing up my JD at Charleston School of Law. On the weekends, I either work at a local bar, travel for weddings, or try and get outside!

Imagine you're in a movie...

NATURAL, JOYFUL STORYTELLING

What sets me apart: Direction

Everyone feels awkward in front of a camera. If you're in agreement, just know that I feel the exact same way. Someone points a camera at me - I start making faces, my posture changes. Who knows what's going on! I consistently find that what sets me apart as a photographer is my direction. Direction means that when it comes to "posing," I will give you something to do: a way to move or an interaction, like a movie scene. Direction is like a dialogue; we will talk back and forth and I will encourage moments during our session through actions and conversation. You will always have something to do or a conversation prompt: think of it as if I am your host on a fun date... or a romcom film director and you're the main characters!
