Daniel + Colleen
I met Daniel & Colleen the summer of 2022. I was working with Daniel on a promotional video for Camps Kahdalea & Chosatonga, & he and Colleen joined me in the Blue Ridge Mountains for a few weeks to collect content. Their gentle joy & obvious love for one another inspired me to ask them to model for a sunrise photoshoot. Cue a 4:00 am wake up, driving down dark wavy roads up to the parkway, a hazy sunrise, & coffee on top of Black Balsam bald mountain!

Morning of
Imagine Napa Valley meets Italy in Disney's Epcot. Pink, champagne, white, and light green accents complimented each other perfectly in Colleen's family home backyard. Everyone put in a helping hand to ornament the trees with paper flowers, spread a white tent over the dance floor, and lay out candles for a golden light.
10 am brunch led into getting ready throughout the afternoon. Colleen was such a peaceful presence, & it was fun to work with Melissa Bliss Photography* & John Bunn Films!

The Ceremony
A beautiful ceremony at First Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge! A few quotes I jotted down throughout>>>

Couples Photos
Immediately after the wedding, the bridal party waited in the back while the church moved everyone outside. Then, we did family, bridal party, & couple photos outside the church and on the boulevard.
Based on Colleen's Pinterest board and other inspiration, such as BHLDN (a shared favorite brand of ours!), I styled their couples photos with a hazy, film effect and natural color scheme! The Rolls-Royce made for an epic cinematic touch.
Reception
Charcuterie tables, pink sofas, and the LSU game sectioned the reception into areas of dining, dancing, & healthy Louisiana State patriotism! The groom's brother sang the first dance song, the live band kept people on the dance floor all night, & the food was immaculate. Energy remained high with a win for LSU over Auburn through until the send off at 11 pm! What a night!
