Skyler & Gabriel
Skyler & Gabriel met in high school, and have been sweethearts ever since. We went on a little adventure to find a wooded trail for their engagement photos, and ended up just off of Savannah Hwy in West Ashley for sunset.
Skyler's love of warm colors and a particularly beautiful sky that night led me to develop what has now become one of my most popular film presets.
Pretty Place Chapel
A venue near and dear to my heart, Pretty Place Chapel is located in Greenville, SC, but more accurately, about halfway between Greenville and Brevard, NC. Throughout college, I worked as a camp counselor in Brevard at Camps Kahdalea and Chosatonga, and words simply cannot capture the beauty of the surrounding Pisgah National Forest.
Pretty Place Chapel is a chapel overlooking the forest, located at the local YMCA campground. Check out their venue here.
The Ceremony
Couples Photos
Immediately after the ceremony, the couple stayed back at Pretty Place Chapel for a few couples photos. This is always one of my favorite moments in the day - where the couple gets to just be together, relax, and enjoy the peace.

A glass house reception, backyard charcuterie and snacks, classic chandelier, and sincere speeches made this night particularly touching.

I. Take a Break
Flash photos typically happen once it's dark, which means they will be sometime near the middle to end of your reception. At this point, you've been partying hard ALL DAY & it never hurts to take a little break.
II. Low Pressure
Whereas most of your other photos throughout the day will be organized and (for your photographer) high pressure to nail spot on, flash photos provide an opportunity for your photographer to get creative
III. A Time to Laugh!
I usually do something quirky with my flash photos, since all the "formals" are done. So
